Doggy Daycare
Would you like to give your dog a break from staying in the back yard
alone? Are you vacationing with your dog but you’d like to
enjoy an activity for a few hours where your dog is not welcome?
Let Three Rivers Training care for your canine buddy while you hike,
boat, or ski.
Puppy Playtime
An hour of supervised play for puppies ages 10 weeks – 6 months.
Puppies must be current on all vaccines. Puppy playtime allows your
young puppy to learn how to interact appropriately and safely with
dogs his own age, to meet new people, and have fun.
Group Training
Group training classes allow your dog to be trained with other dogs
and their families. Your dog will enjoy socializing with his canine
buddies and their parents and will begin to learn to focus in a
distracting setting. If your dog performs beautifully at home but “forgets” behaviors
everywhere else, group classes are for you!
Classes are limited to 6 participants so everyone can get the personal
attention that they need and deserve. All dogs in group classes must
be non-aggressive. Classes meet in two formats: one hour a week for
six weeks (standard format) or two hours a week for three weeks (accelerated
format).
If your dog is reactive or aggressive to other dogs or people, consider
private lessons first.
In each class you will learn:
- How dogs
learn
- How your
dog communicates with his body and how he interprets your body language
- To be
a kind and benevolent pack leader
- Why timing
and consistency are crucial to your dog’s
success
- How to
set your dog up for success in training and in life
Three Rivers Training
provides the following group classes:
- Puppy
kindergarten for puppies ages 10 weeks – 5
months
- Basic manners
for teen and adult dogs over 5 months
- Beyond the
basics for dogs over 7 months that have completed a puppy kindergarten
or basic
manners class

Puppy Kindergarten
Designed for puppies between 10 weeks and 5 months of age, this class
focuses on getting your puppy off to a good start. Socialization
is a big part of puppy class, teaching your puppy how to play appropriately
with other dogs and enjoy the company of children and adults. We
also include massage and handling, potty training, crate training,
bite inhibition, leadership skills, and teach many of the basic
behaviors such as Sit, Down, Come, Stay, and walking on a loose
leash.
Small breed puppies (under 20 pounds at maturity) may attend Puppy
Kindergarten up through 12 months of age. Medium and large breed puppies
over the age of 5 months may attend with trainer’s permission.
All puppies must have proof of current vaccinations – a minimum
of two sets of the distemper series and rabies if age appropriate.
The bordetella vaccine (kennel cough) is recommended, but not required.

Basic Manners
Designed for any non-aggressive dog over 5 months of age, this class
focuses on improving your skills as the benevolent leader of the pack,
helping you understand how dogs communicate with their body and their
voice, socializing safely and politely, and learning basic behaviors
such as Down, Stay, Come, and walking on a loose leash.
The Basic Manners class is excellent for dogs without any formal training
or dogs that have been trained at home, but want to practice around
distractions in a new location. It is also a good choice for families
that have recently adopted a rescue dog. Training is one of the best
ways to create a bond between you and your new family member.
All dogs must have proof of current vaccinations. Spaying or neutering
is recommended, but not required as is the bordetella vaccine (kennel
cough).

Beyond the Basics
Designed for dogs over 7 months of age, or that have just completed
Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Manners. Pet parents must have basic leash
control, and dogs should be able to sit, down, wait, and handle greetings
politely. Beyond the Basics is a continuation of the Puppy Kindergarten
and Basic Manners classes, adding distance and distractions to the
behaviors previously learned. We include games and tricks and introduce
the skills necessary to become a canine good citizen.
All dogs must have proof of current vaccinations. Spaying or neutering
is recommended, but not required as is the bordetella vaccine (kennel
cough).
