What we do:
Our goal is to learn traditional Taekwon Do which helps us to develop skills in self defense along with physical fitness. The benefits of our classes are increased balance, coordination, personal discipline and self confidence. We have an inspiring group of great people who have a lot of fun!

We are affiliated with Bailey's Traditional Taekwon Do in Edmonds, WA. Competitive tournaments with satellite schools are available a few times a year. All competitions are optional.

All classes are steeped in the "Tenants of Taekwon Do" which are respect, courtesy, indomitable spirit, integrity, perseverance & self-control.

We learn "patterns" which are a choreographed series of movements that include hand strikes/blocks and kicks. We practice "no contact" sparring so that we can improve our skills but not injure others or ourselves. Once students advance to the blue belt level they can begin practicing board breaking with kicks or hand strikes. Board breaking helps develop aim, technique, and power.

Kid's Classes:
Kid's classes are held during the school year at Methow Valley Elementary School in the Cub Gym from 3:15pm - 4:15pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. Each 12 week session costs $90. This class is for kids in 1st - 6th grade. Please pick up your kids on time.

At kid's class we mix games into our exercises to make it fun. We've found that the TKD classes for kids have notable benefits including : right/left coordination, respect for others, manners, self confidence & personal/body awareness.

Teen Classes (New!):
Teen Kid's classes are held during the school year at Methow Valley Elementary School in the Cub Gym from 4:30 - 5:30pm on Mondays & Wednesdays. Each 12 week session costs $90.

Adult Class:
Evening classes are held year round in the Methow Valley Elementary School Cub Gym 5:45pm - 7pm Mondays & Wednesdays. These classes are open to any age group, though it is primarily attended by adults. Evening classes are $40 per month.

Upcoming Methow Valley Promotional Tests
All tests are held at Methow Valley Taekwon Do College at the MV Community Center, Twisp. Students are recommended for promotion by their instructor. Family members, friends and fellow students are welcome to attend. Next test date:

Tournaments:
Tournaments are great chances to interact with other Taekwon Do students in the Northwest. They include competitions in sparring (all students), patterns (all students), and board breaking (brown & black belts only). Upcoming tournament dates are listed below.
