This interactive event kicks off our field-based season, and will include a detailed walk through of Kates new facilities in Winthrop. Kate had a full career as a scientist, and now she has shifted her curiosity and attention to detail toward dialing in the perfect recipe to effectively convert food scraps into high quality compost. The building blocks for Kates compost are acquired by diverting waste streams from arborists, a number of local businesses, and residents enrolled in Methow Recycles compost program.
