Electrical Storms

In the case of an electrical storm, it is best to shut down your computer and turn off all computer related devices (radio, router, monitors, speakers, scanners, printers) and unplug devices from power. Your "powerstrip" is not a surge protector. Just light a candle and write a letter or play a board game. When the fireworks are over you can plug all your cables back in and turn everything back on.
